Aviar Technology Completes Successful AFWERX Partnership with Agile Data Decisions to Deliver VR Data Visualization to the United States Air Force

HOUSTON, TX, December 31, 2023 - Aviar Technology, LLC (https://aviar.tech) successfully completed its AFWERX partnership with Agile Data Decisions, Inc. (AgileDD).

In October 2022, AgileDD, https://www.agiledd.ai/ (CEO Dr. Amit Juneja, https://www.LinkedIn.com/in/AmJuneja/), was awarded a United States Air Force AFWERX Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase II contract to deliver Virtual Reality Visualization of Complex and Unstructured Data and Relationships. Agile Data Decisions is the project's prime contractor. Aviar served as the subcontractor building the virtual reality data visualization system as part of the project's architecture. The STTR research institution partner was the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, led by Dr. Mark Hasegawa-Johnson.

AgileDD's AI platform iQC learns from human experts and captures context-aware textual, semantic, tabular, and visual information from unstructured documents to save time, cost and to de-risk business decisions.

Aviar Technology's AviarGraph platform (https://aviar.tech/aviar-graph-virtual-reality-visualization-of-graph-databases/) delivers immersive virtual reality 3D visualizations of graph data. AviarGraph provides the environment to

  • Explore a data network and its topology—its shape—in true 3D, unbounded by the desktop
  • Reveal connections and pathways among and across data elements to best understand important relationships and causal chains
  • Leverage the natural human ability to identify patterns

UIUC's Dr. Hasegawa-Johnson led the research team developing and integrating large language models and natural language processing.

During Phase II, which ran 15 months, Aviar will built out the capabilities of its AviarGraph product to dynamically ingest and visualize large graph database models built from data generated by AgileDD's technology, thereby enabling powerful and actionable insights into the data set. With this project Agile Data Decisions and Aviar Technology extracted unstructured data from USAF test and evaluation documents and visualized requirements validation flows in virtual reality.
